The food was as fantastic and Josh made sure we had a hell of a time! The entire stuff worked in unison to provide exceptional service that accentuated the delicious food! Steaks came out perfect, sides were great, vibe was top notch and staff was on point!
I had dinner at Chicago Chop House and the steaks were cooked perfectly, rich in flavor and very satisfying. The old-school steakhouse vibe with live music was charming, but the interior felt a little dark and dated. The sides were tasty but portion sizes seemed small for the price
Very wonderful dinner! Our server was Ilyana (apologies if it was spelled wrong) She was very educated on the menu and answered any questions we had about the steak/appetizers. She was also very attentive and smart when it came to timing each dish together. Pretty pricey but for two drinks, 1 appetizer, two steaks + two sauces, a side dish and a dessert (which was complimentary for a celebration) it was well worth the price. We sat on the second floor. Only complaint would be the noise. We visited on a Saturday night so it was obviously busy. There were multiple parties and they were VERY loud plus the music made it very hard to talk and sometimes hear our server. Wish the restaurant did a little better to accommodate the noise somehow. Besides that very nice experience, yummy tasting food. We would visit again- maybe on a slower day.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had the Caesar salad, asparagus, dry-aged tomahawk steak, and mac & cheese — everything was absolutely incredible! The drinks were just as amazing. Chicago Chop House delivered on every level — great food, great service, and an overall top-notch dining experience. Highly recommend!
We had such an amazing dinner. I was so excited for a a more formal and fine dining experience and the Chicago Chop house delivered. This traditional steakhouse in a restored brownstone decorated with photos of local celebrities. The music they play and decor really takes you back. Love it. Service was excellent. From the hostess, waitstaff, and chef and the rest of the team….. they truly delivered. Last and certainly not least, the meal was everything I hoped for and more. Absolutely delicious. I think everything that made it to our table and we ordered we ate. The steak was perfectly seasoned. What an amazing dining experience. I would certainly go back if I visited Chicago again.
The filet mignon was perfectly prepared. Our server, Fanny, was pleasant. Of note, my boyfriend proposed tonight and when we arrived to our table there were rose petals laid out in the shape of a heart and special menus with a congratulatory message across the top. They also provided a complimentary sparkling wine toast and creme brûlée. We had a delightful evening.

The atmosphere felt classic and refined, with dark woods and an elegant, old-world steakhouse charm, but it did feel a little cramped when full. Overall, it was a satisfying experience and a go-to for serious steak lovers.
A swank old steakhouse. The staff were attentive, helpful and very knowledgeable about the menu and history. Joshua took great care of us while celebrating my wife's birthday. The personalized menu was such a classy cool touch that made her day!
